Got to love the Thrillist email newsletters. I know it’s mainly geared to guys but I buy stuff for guys, drink often like a guy and love to test drive food– often stuff guys like (it’s handy when you hang out with guys)
Courtesy of the Bedford Post, their signature spiked Hot Chocolate!
Ingredients:
•1 cup of hot chocolate, preferably dark chocolate or salted dulce de leche
•1/2 oz Stolichnaya Vodka Salted Karamel (KEY INGREDIENT)
•1 oz Clear Creek Distillery raspberry framboise
•White Godiva liqueur whipped cream
•Chopped macadamia nuts
Instructions:
1.Mix in vodka and framboise with the cup of hot chocolate.
2.Add whipped cream.
3.Top with macadamia nuts.
And if you want to change up the salted caramel a bit, pull a bit of Robert Lambert’s Hot Ginger Caramel Sauce along with *any* of his chocolate sauces and create this same dream drink with a spiced rum or a great uber-premium tequila Along with the raspberry framboise from Clear Creek Distillery, add a mild to wild chili sauce (a dash) sprinkle of some chili powder over the whipped cream.
No matter how you concoct this heavenly drink, you won’t be sorry. PS… if you have a Trader Joes or upscale gourmet market, try finding sipping chocolate powder which will add a distinctly chocolate flavor with a pinch of the chili and/or add some finely ground coffee for a mocha taste.
