Think that your life is segmented into private versus online? That what is online stays online and that what you do offline isn’t available to be seen or tracked? Think again. EVERYTHING you do pretty much — financial, talking on the phone, looking up something to compare prices for products at the market- those actions run through data centers. What are data centers and how does it affect you? We have John Kovach, Head of Global Data Centers for Siemens— an expert on what goes through these data centers (AKA The Cloud) as well as how they maintain the security on these centers– which considering today’s world, is pretty critical!
Hopefully after this video, the CLOUD is a bit clearer now and also that data center security is locked down in terms of your understanding. Given the number of hacking incidents, this is one of the things people wonder about. Now if you have further questions, post them as comments. Also if you haven’t started turning off your bluetooth on your various mobile devices, go back to a couple of earlier video conversations about why you should!!
Thanks to John Kovach for his expertise, extreme clarity and time!
Want to ask a question, reach out to Siemens Industry and ask them. Tell them that the question was about what John Kovach said on this video!
