It’s almost St. Patricks Day — and I have to say my inbox is looking pretty green. I wish I could say it was the best kind of green (money) but actually it’s about food (recipes and restaurants), drinks (cocktails- not green beer!) and home and fashion items. Interesting that people get all goofy and crazy about St. Paddy’s day but this particular holiday is totally inclusive rather than exclusionary. Most people wear a shade of green “something” to celebrate and also to prevent unnecessary pinches. (YES people still do that!)
The biggest trick is finding the right shade of green to wear. Whether it’s cosmetics or fashion, you want to celebrate the day but you want to look good doing it!. It’s not easy to find the right shade of green that has you looking spiffy rather than you looking like you are going to puke. Who better to help sort out which shades look good on people– and it is not a one size fits all hue. Speaking of hue, Jill Kirsh Color, (the Guru of Hue) has sent me some great shades that will look good on select people. You might be wondering which one would suit you. We have that nailed down too. It’s all based on your hair color.
Question: Can You Actually Wear Green Without Looking Green?
Answer: Yep!
Christina Aguilera’s cool white blonde is amazing against the cool undertones of Seafoam Green.
Emma Stone’s fiery red hair is stunning against the warmth & richness of Olive Green.
Deep Brunette Vanessa Hudgens totally rocks in a Deep Emerald Green.
Elle Fanning’s Warm Blondes tresses shine against the warmth of Kelly Green.
I love that
1) Jill Kirsh Color knows which hues will work for each hair color.
2) It’s so easy to do on your own once you figure out which color family you are (warm or cool). I got swatchbooks from Jill Kirsh’s website. So you can score these same very helpful swatchbooks and use them to help you find the best colors for fashions, your home and your cosmetics!
3) Once you have the swatchbook, it’s just so easy to put together outfits and cosmetics that make you look fabulous!

Thanks to the fantastic Jill Kirsh of JillKirshColor.com. You need her system. It’s easy, fast and fabulous.
As long as you don’t tweak your hair color out of the color family you can stick with the same colors.

I love seafoam green, but my hair color is strawberry blonde. What kind of green would work best for me?
HI Great question! I asked Jill Kirsh your question: Here’s her answer.
Strawberry Blonde is usually in the Golden Browns & Redheads palette except if it’s a very light strawberry blonde (meaning a little redder than blonde). If she’d like, she can send me a photo.
Hopefully that answers your question, otherwise. email Jill via her site *(or FB page) and she will give you a definitive answer! She also sells swatchbooks that give you all the colors that will be fabulous with your hair. If your experience with “so-so” fashion choices is anything like mine, much of the “ho-hum” fashion choices due to color will be changed once you edit out the colors that aren’t part of the array of choices that fit your hair color!
