Jewelry That Lit Up the 2018 Emmys Red Carpet: Curated by Michael O’Connor!

If you have followed, jewelry expert and stylist, Michael O’Connor is a name you might remember. Michael O’Connor is a man who I have known for many years while I have covered “red carpet jewelry” for the Emmys, Golden Globes and Oscars! I have interviewed Michael both in person or on the phone in podcast and video formats. He’s always been my “go-to” expert for the most incredible and unusual jewelry to hit the red carpet. Stylists and their celebrity clients practically swarm his “Style Lab” suites seeking the perfect jewelry to wear on the red carpet– whether male or female!

The most interesting part is the great diversity of pieces shown here. Some are antiques; some feature dramatic color while other pieces are dramatic courtesy of incredible diamonds.

Pendant with a sapphire center (15.60 carats) and round diamonds set in 18k white gold (worn by Lori Greiner from Shark Tank to the Creative Arts Emmy Awards)

• Brooch showcased to Emmy nominees and presenters featuring a Certified Rubellite 3.15 carats, Colorless diamonds 2.5 carats, set in 18k Rose Gold

Earrings featuring the Leo Diamond by Leo Schachter (worn by Emmy nominee, Naomi Grossman from Ctrl Alt Delete to the Entertainment Weekly Pre—Emmy party)

Earrings with 7.52 carats of fancy yellow diamonds, 1.70 carats of white diamonds, and 0.25 carats of rose-cut diamonds, set in 18kt white and yellow gold (worn by Emmy nominee Adina Porter from American Horror Story to the Primetime Emmy Awards)

Pearl and diamond earrings (worn by Audrey Moore from the Emmy nominated show, Godless to the BAFTA Tea Party)

I think I was starting to swoon over the jewelry as I was putting this piece together. What’s not to love in this collection? Each brand has its own unique flavor and presentation. I love every single piece– though I particularly love that brooch!

Thank you to Michael O’Connor and Niki Ostin for pulling this piece together so quickly!!
