Whether you are having a large group for dinner or dessert, or it’s a small group of 3 or 4, it’s the perfect opportunity to mix up a cocktail punch! This is served in a punch bowl and it will serve a crowd which makes it easier for you if you are hosting Christmas or Hanukkah dinner tonight! And if you have a smaller group, you can pour the extra into a bottle to keep in your refrigerator for enjoyment over the next few days!

So let’s get this party started with Angel’s Envy Whiskey.

 

 

 

Angel’s Envy Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Angel’s Envy Kentucky Straight Bourbon is finished in port wine casks for an award-winning spirit. We guide each batch’s conditioning, blending our handcrafted bourbon in small batches of 8 to 12 barrels at a time.
Once it’s deemed ready, we finish our bourbon in ruby port wine casks, which adds subtly distinct flavor nuances that enhance the whiskey without challenging it. Our port finishing process lasts between three to six months, depending on taste.

This year, Angel’s Envy released a very limited number of bottles – just over 14,000. The brand judges only a handful of barrels exceptional enough for our lengthy finishing process.
Even at 122.4 proof, every sip is worth savoring. A remarkably complex spirit, the team suggests you enjoy it neat or with just a splash of water to release the flavor nuances, and perhaps with a few friends who appreciate outstanding whiskey.

This brand has provided me with 3 different recipes for a cocktail punch!

 

Here’s the specifically winter cocktail!

Gingerbread Old Fashioned

Ingredients:

1½ parts Angel’s Envy Bourbon Finished in Port Barrels

1/4 part gingerbread demerara syrup

1/4 part allspice dram

Angostura Bitters

Instructions:Combine all ingredients into a mixing glass with ice. Stir and strain into a rocks glass with a single large ice cube. Garnish with a gingerbread man hanging off the rim.

If you would like to make your own gingerbread syrup, we have a recipe for that as well.

Gingerbread Syrup: 

To a large pot, add:

1.5quarts water

2 vanilla beans, split

1 cinnamon stick

15 cloves

1 tablespoon molasses

10x ¼-inch thick medallions of fresh ginger root

Bad Apple Cocktail

Ingredients: 
1 bottle of Angel’s Envy Bourbon
1 full gallon of apple cider
1 lemon cut into wheels
1 orange cut into wheels
6 cinnamon sticks
12 oz. of maple syrup

Instructions:
Add ingredients to punch bowl, stir and enjoy.

Heaven’s Pumpkin Patch

Ingredients: 
1 bottle of Angel’s Envy
1 cup of cinnamon tea (chilled)
1 cup of pumpkin syrup (recipe below)
1/2 cup of lemon juice
1 bottle of Martini & Rossi Asti
1/2 oz. of Fee Brothers black walnut bitters

Instructions:

Combine all ingredients in a punch bowl with a large block of ice, and serve in small punch cups.
(If no large-format ice is available, just chill punch and serve over ice)

Pumpkin Syrup Recipe

Ingredients: 
1/2 cup of canned pumpkin
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
2 cups of hot water

Instructions:
Add all ingredients to a saucepan and heat over medium, stirring until pumpkin puree and sugar is dissolved.
Chill for 2-3 hours
