Street Food Cinema Moves to Santa Monica for”Double Feature” Drive-in Movies! 2/11/21!!

Tired of not being able to go to the movies? Here’s a solution and it’s a great one. Street Food Cinema is not a new event; it’s been around for a few years featuring drive-in movies at various venues across greater Los Angeles. I wrote about their events here on LA-Story.com

I noticed that Street Food Cinema took a break from the movies. Street Food Cinema (SFC) made an insightful pivot to Drive-Ins as soon as Covid-19 changed the landscape of events in 2020. SFC quickly moved into outdoor entertainment in a safe, socially distanced environment and thus reinventing themselves in 2020 as they entered their 9th season as LA’s largest outdoor movie & drive-in series.

2020 challenged and inspired the SFC team to find new ways to connect, new ways to tell stories, and new ways to share innovative cinematic experiences. Since May 2020, SFC has created meaningful activations with their clients including Amazon Prime Video, Los Angeles Football Club, NBC, Santa Anita Park, Searchlight, and UCLA Medical Center in a socially safe and responsible environment. SFC continues to work diligently with city and state health officials to adhere to ever-changing event safety protocols. In addition, they work with clients to advise them on COVID compliance and best practices on recommended safety measures.
Active custom events at outdoor venues  have been held in Arcadia, DTLA, Glendale, Malibu, Pasadena, and West Hollywood, among others.

The Street Food Cinema people have come up with a new location and a new means of showing films by doing drive-in theaters in a  different locations. The upcoming line up of incredible drive-in events for movie-lovers from Street Food Cinema begins with several days of  a special Valentine’s Series of events/movies at the Santa Monica Airport starting on Feb 11, 2021.

SFC continues to trail blaze and innovate the outdoor cinema experience. There is no better way to kick off this brand-new year than sharing some delicious food and a heartwarming classic with your loved ones. With 2020 behind us, love is filling the air at our upcoming events at the Santa Monica Airport! For our Valentine’s Series, we’re bringing you back-to-back features each night!
