Secrets of the Golden Globes: MA Gita Bass Preps Tina Fey with Pause Well Aging’s Products!

Celebrity Makeup Artist Gita Bass has prepped Tina Fey for countless awards shows, and there’s no one who knows the star’s skin better than Gita. For Fey’s huge night as the Golden Globes co-host, Gita chose the Pause Well-Aging Fascia Stimulating Tool to add that je ne sais quoi glow that will be seen on screens around the world. Gita was kind enough to provide lots of details on the steps Gita took to give Tina Fey this gorgeous glow!

Tina Fey looks fabulous in this Instagram post that celebrity makeup artist, Gita Bass posted. Tina’s skin looks glowy and firm.

Read on for Gita’s breakdown of Tina Fey’s skin and makeup prep:

Since the globes were a bit different this year and we shot in NY, Tina’s styling and glam team decided to go for a more downtown NY cool vibe, rather than the usual Hollywood glam. For me, this meant an edgy plum smoky eye and a nude lip, paired with radiant glowing skin which added just the right amount of subtle color to her amazing black coat dress.

Her skin was first prepped with Beautycounter’s Overnight Resurfacing Peel, which I applied the day before, to help exfoliate and resurface the skin.
On the day, I started with the All Bright C Serum, to instantly brighten the skin and add a gorgeous glow, and then the Countermatch Adaptive Moisture Lotion to create the perfectly hydrated, dewy base for makeup. I then gently massaged the skin with the Pause Well Aging Fascia Stimulating Tool to help improve blood flow and boost collagen production.

The Pause Well-Aging Fascia Stimulating Tool is an FDA-cleared Class 1 medical device, crafted of surgical stainless steel and shaped to follow your contours. Used once a day on your face, neck, and chest, the Tool may stimulate fibroblasts to produce collagen and minimize sagging, support cell turnover for radiance, and improve blood flow to deliver nutrients to the skin.

For a flawless complexion, I applied a few drops of the Featherweight Skin Twin Featherweight Foundation in Light 230 and Medium 310, and then added Skin Twin Creamy Concealer in Light 2 where needed.

–To add warmth to the skin, I swirled the Radiant All Over Bronzer in Surf where the sun would naturally hit,
–then layered Color Pinch Cream Blusher in Hibiscus on to the apples of the cheeks.
–To deepen the pigment and ensure the blush would last all night, I then layered the Satin Powder Blush in Nectar over the top.
–To set the skin I applied some Mattifying Powder to the center of the face and added the Illuminating Cream Highlighter in Pearl Glow to the cheek and brow bones for a radiant, lit from within glow.

–For perfectly groomed brows, I used Color Define Brow Pencil in Medium and then set them in place with Brilliant Brow Gel in Light.

–To create the smoky eye, I lined upper, and lower, lash and water lines with Color Outline Pencil in Violet and smudged with a soft brush. I then layered a bronze eye shadow onto the lid up to the crease and smudged a dark plum shadow over the liner for a smoky effect.
–For award-winning lashes, I applied a few coats of Volumizing mascara and then added LoveSeen lashes in Inez.

–For a gorgeous rosy nude lip that added warmth to the face without competing with the eye, I applied Color Intense Lipstick in Brunch and layered Beyond Gloss in Peony over the top.
