TIPS + TECHNIQUES
1. First, Tony brushed through Andra’s natural curls to get the hair as soft and workable as possible.

Next, sectioning the perimeter of the hair, about two inches thick, Tony used the NEW ghd max styler ($219; launching 3/1) to smooth out the roots of the hair, prepping it for her tight pony and ensuring long-lasting smoothness and shine. The tool’s wide plates allow it to quickly straighten curly hair in one pass.

Then Tony pulled the hair into a tight high pony and used the ghd narrow dressing brush ($40) to smooth out the hair. He combed the edges and using the OSiS+ Crystal Gel by Schwarzkopf with the ghd helios™ professional hairdryer ($249) on the cool setting to freeze the hair into place.
4. To finish the look, Tony used the ghd curve creative curl wand ($199), to accentuate and perfect Andra’s curls, pulling them apart one by one to build a full bun of loose curls.
5) Last, Tony sprayed the hair with OSiS+ Smooth Strong Hairspray to keep the hair in place.
