Great Cocktails for Easter, Spring or Just Because You Want One! Whip Up 1 of These Recipes! Cocktails Day 1

Spring has rolled in and Easter signals that it really is time to shift gears. Time to leave “winter” behind and look toward spring rolling in. With the recent celebration of Passover and now Easter, it’s definitely a time to look forward, and let’s toast to the coming of sunshine and warmer temperatures (even if it hasn’t happened yet, it will be rolling around!)

We all want great cocktails and sips for holidays and our casual spring to summer weekends. Why not these fabulous drinks?

WTF (WHISKEY TIKI FOXTROT) 

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 1½ parts Fistful of Bourbon
  • ¾ parts mango juice
  • ¾ parts simple syrup
  • ½ lime juice
  • 2 dashes Burlesque Bitters (Tiki Bitters)

 

Method
Combine ingredients and shake well.
Strain over crushed ice into a Collins glass.
Garnish with lime wheel.

 

 

THE MILAGRO PALOMA SELECT by Milagro 

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 parts Milagro Select Silver
  • 1/2 part agave nectar
  • 1 part pink grapefruit juice
  • 1/2 part fresh lime juice
  • 3 parts soda
  • 1 Pink Grapefruit Wedge

 

Method
Pour all ingredients, except sparkling water, into a Boston shaker.
Add ice, shake and strain over fresh ice into a  highball glass and stir.
Top with sparkling water.
Garnish with pink grapefruit wedge.

 

 

CUCUMBER LEMONADE by Hendrick’s Gin 

 

 

Ingredients: 

  • 1 parts Hendrick’s Gin
  • 1 parts Lemon Juice
  • 1 parts Sugar Syrup (simple syrup  recipe)
  • 3 parts Soda Water

Method:

Combine all ingredients in a highball filled with cubed ice.
Lightly stir and serve.
Garnish with 3 thinly sliced rounds of cucumber

Maple Old Fashioned Courtesy of Crown Maple Syrup

For this cocktail, you need a  great maple syrup and Crown is the place to get not one– but 3 flavors of maple syrup and get something that’s so pristine that you will die realizing that Mrs. Butterworth’s isn’t remotely close to maple syrup!

RECIPE

Ingredients: 

1.5 part Maker’s Mark Bourbon (the brand’s recommendation)
(My suggestion is to pull out a  Maker’s Mark bottle you don’t usually share with anyone else and SHARE IT.  Kill the bottle with this cocktail! Make it worth the time)

.25 part Crown Maple Syrup

3-4 dashes Angostura Bitters

Making it work:
Pour the first two ingredients into a mixing glass (not a drinking glass) over ice and stir till well-blended.
You don’t want the syrup getting all gloppy!
Then pour in the bitters and stir again!
Pour into your rock’s glass and sip happily!!
Garnish with crisp bacon!
