The Marina High School Viking Boat is an entirely authentic Viking ship built by high school students in the Marina High School woodshop over a period of two years. She is named Valhalla after the mythical Viking resting place and she is fully seaworthy. Wood-shop Teacher Bob Meade guided more than 50 students as they carefully placed and bolted the planks together following ancient drawings from 1200 years ago.
