I love mixing up cocktails. I often do some testing by using a small amount of “brew of the moment” and then add in various other items that will give the cocktail an interesting flavor.
I was recently sent these 5 cocktail recipes from NOLET Gin. I love this gin because it’s super clean and rather “silky” when sipped or in a cocktail. It’s very versatile too which makes me happy as an amateur mixologist! I tend to make a cocktail with attention to the recipe. The next cocktail is me tweaking the recipe that I just had and seeing how it comes out. Yes, I make mistakes, but that’s part of the fun… but it can be disappointing too if I don’t have all the right mixes for a specific spirit.. particularly if I am on a deadline like Christmas and New Year’s Eve!

Holiday Gin + Soda
Ingredients
1.5 oz. NOLET’S Silver Gin
3 oz. Soda Water
Cranberries
Fresh Rosemary
Method
Pour NOLET’S Silver over ice in a balloon glass,
Then add soda water and garnish.
Hot Toddy
Ingredients
1.5 oz. NOLET’S Silver Gin
0.75 oz. Fresh Lemon or Orange Juice
1 oz. Honey
2 oz. Hot Water
Any combination of Cinnamon Stick, Citrus Peel, Star Anise, Ginger, Cloves, or Dried Fruits for Garnish
Method
Combine hot water, honey and citrus in a mug or glass,
Stir until honey is dissolved.
Add NOLET’S and garnish accordingly.
Sparkling Winter Gimlet
Ingredients
3 oz. NOLET’S Silver Gin
1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
1 oz. Simple Syrup
1.5 oz. Blood Orange Juice
1 oz. Brut Champagne
2 sprigs of Rosemary
Method
In a cocktail shaker combine all ingredients except Champagne with ice,
Shake vigorously until well-chilled.
Pour into 2 chilled Coupe glasses,
Top with Champagne and a sprig of rosemary.
Peppermint Southside 
Ingredients
1.25 oz. NOLET’S Silver
0.75 oz. Lime Juice
0.75 oz. Simple Syrup
Peppermint Leaves
Crushed Candy Canes
Method
Shake all ingredients with ice in a cocktail shaker and strain into a crushed candy cane rimmed Martini or coupe glass.
Garnish with a sprig of peppermint.
French 75
Ingredients
.5 oz. NOLET’S Silver Gin
0.5 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
2 oz. Champagne or Sparkling Wine (we recommend Brut)
Method
Combine NOLET’S Silver and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake to chill thoroughly.
Pour into a flute or coupe glass and top with Champagne.
Immerse a bar spoon into the glass to gently mix ingredients without stirring to minimize the bubbles.
Garnish with a lemon twist and serve.
