Top 5 Tours Hitting Southern California This Summer!
While we still have dozens of music festivals on the calendar in the coming months, there are several massive tours rolling through our amphitheaters, arenas, and stadiums as well.
According to StubHub, Taylor Swift is the most in-demand artist playing in the Los Angeles area this summer.
That should come as no surprise as the singer-songwriter’s tour dates swiftly sold out in stadiums across the country, even as she added more dates to each venue. She set a record when she included a total of five shows with The Eras Tour at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood
Aug. 3, 5-6 and 8-9.
The SubHub data shows that The Eras Tour has already tripled the final sales of summer dates for Swift’s 2018 Reputation Tour.
The list continues with Beyoncé at No. 2 as her Renaissance Tour hits SoFi Stadium on
Sept. 1-2 and 4. The current tour is seeing a 120% increase compared to the final sales of
the On the Run II Tour with her husband and rapper Jay-Z in 2018.
Both Swift’s Reputation and Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s On the Run II tours sold out two nights each at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena in 2018, each one drawing in over 50,000 fans per evening.
Other concerts on the list include:
Metallica!
–Metal giants Metallica at No. 3 (M72 World Tour at SoFi Stadium on Aug. 25 and 27);
–Country singer-songwriter Morgan Wallen‘s One Night At a Time World Tour at No. 4 (at SoFi Stadium on July 22);
–Hip-Hop stars Drake and 21 Savage at No. 5.
(Aug. 12-13 and 15-16 at Kia Forum in Inglewood and Aug. 21-22 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles).
These numbers are based on the cumulative tickets ales on StubHub as of May 25, 2023, for events in the Los Angeles area.
