It’s not often that I get to talk to a fashion designer whose work I love as much as Kevan Hall!
Today I was lucky enough to interview Kevan Hall about his participation in the FASHION FOR LIFE Charity Event.
Debbie Matenopoulos (E!’s “The Daily 10”) will host this event welcoming an eclectic mix of LA’s celebs and fashionistas to a fashion show, silent auction and also an awards ceremony smack in the middle of Beverly Hills at Mercedes Benz of Beverly Hills Dealership on Sunday May 21, 2006. The fashion show will feature Paige Premium Denim, Shay
Todd, Kevan Hall, Candice Held, Robert Rodriguez, Suss Design and Jak and Rae. Hair styling will be provided by stylists Chris McMillan and Carrie White.
The Fashion For Life event is a charity for Friendly House, a housing facility and program for women dealing with substance abuse.
Filled to the brim with celebrities, models, and designers, this is a unique event that partners fashion with celebrity to help raise funds to help women with substance abuse problems (alcohol and drugs) regain control of their lives and give them a place to stay while they go through recovery.
The event itself raises funds through silent auction and also ticket purchases and it’ features the creme de la creme of LA celebrities.
LA A List Retailer, Ron Herman will present the Fashion For Life Vision Award to designer Paige Adams-Gellar of Paige Premium Denim for her service to women. Paige was the denim industry’s most requested fit model and worked with top denim labels from Seven and
Citizens of Humanity, to Habitual and True Religion. She has successfully created herown line of denim that provides the great fitting denim fashions and styles for real women.
Beyond that, there is a fabulous fashion show of which Kevan Hall’s fashions are a part and what a glorious selection of fashions from his spring collection are being shown.
As Kevan described in the podcast, his fashions are in pearly Atlantis type hues, colors inspired by the sea and mermaid-ish in tone. The fabrics are luscious and the designs are perfect for EVERYWOMAN!!
\What’s really cool is that you can buy Kevan Hall’s fabulous designs all over the country. They wear exceptionally well and the designs have such classical elements that they are often worn for years because they are fresh and feminine –allowing a woman to be a woman!
