Jouer Cosmetics is a different "breed" of cosmetic companies. The podcast features an interview with founder, Christina Zilber who talks about what Jouer is and how it fits into your lifestyle. This chic little line is perfect for those who love the idea of palettes or collections of colors all in one set but hesitate buying the "pre- set" palettes that lock you into someone else’s vision of colors.
While I love those kinds of things, typically I might use 1 or 2 colors (and if I am lucky 4) but never all of them and I wind up with 2 pans almost gone, a couple pans untouched as well as a couple that have been tested but failed the "Stevie" test and I never use them again. It’s sad to waste money on palettes that you buy because you love 1-2 colors but never use the rest.
Along comes Jouer and changes the playing field. Presenting a unique collection of small interlocking palettes, you can choose any number of colors and product textures for face, eyes, cheeks, and lips and then link-and unlink- them for different combinations of looks. Take what you need for the day –or night- and link them together and voila, easy touch-ups.
It’s ideal for traveling–whether just to work, for weekend get-aways or longer trips that require you to downsize that make-up stash.
Made to be used primarily without tools (though the bronzer is best used with a brush), you can get a sheer, natural look that can be cranked up for a sexier look by swapping out colors or adding pans of gloss, shimmer and "all over color" . These are fun little pans that are easily hinged together and you can create or update your look anytime by adding a bit more color.
Listen to Christina Zilber tell you more about Jouer and why you should give it a try. The newest product is Essentials Compact– a limited edition duo available now for almost half the price if purchased separately.
Jouer’s Essential Lip Enhancer plumps, smooths and soothes your lips with an emollient balm that contains clinically proven ingredients to boost volume and reduce fine lines around the lips. Packed with Jojoba oil, Shea butter and Vitamin E to moisturize and Vitamin C to fight free radicals, you can use it under your fave lip gloss, lip color or alone. It’s a great night time treatment for chapped lips too.

Jouer’s Essential Matte Touch is a multi-purpose face treatment that works for ALL skintypes. Anti-oxidant Japanese Green Tea Powder soothes and Willow Bark Extract purifies the skin. Mix in a combination of Grape, Kiwi and Honey Extracts to firm, moisturize and deliver Vitamins C, D and E. It provides weightless, colorless application that is applied with your fingertips. Apply alone, under make-up, or as a touch-up throughout the day for a soft matte finish.
Jouer’s Essential Matte Touch, $24;
Les Essentials d’ete –both products together in a kit– will be sold for $28. It doesn’t get any better than this. It’s easy to use and fits into the smallest bag and even slips nicely into the back pocket of your jeans.
Jouer has lots of these little kits with colors and more new products coming so stay tuned as Fashiontribes.com’s Beauty Buzz will check back with Christina soon about what’s new with Jouer.
Jouer is more than just a company with an idea. It’s a company that gives back to the community and gets involved! Co-chairs, Jouer cosmetics CEO and Founder, Christina Zilber and Sandra Winkler put together a lavish dinner reception in the Grand Ballroom of the famed Beverly Hills Hotel to sponsor a fund-raising event for Le Lycee Francais de Los Angeles as well as host Une Soiree a Monte Carlo to honor Clara-Lisa Kabbaz as the recipient of the Esther and Raymond Kabbaz Award for her distinguished service to the French-American community. Featuring casino games, silent auction items, and live auction items such as French lessons, luxurious stay at the Four Season and a zen consultation for your child’s room, the event attracted notables like Jody Foster, Joely Fisher, Mario Van Peebles and many other celebrities and LA notables. All proceeds from the evening benefited Le Lycee Francais de Los Angeles.
According to Christina, Jouer is more than just a cosmetic line– it’s a way of giving to you– to give back to her community. The products are stellar by themselves and you will love the fun on the http://www.jouercosmetics.com website– especially the "play with Jouer" section. That’s a MUST DO section– because it’s a way for you to test drive the product on every skintone!!
