Ever wonder what it would be like to start your own line? Check out this interview with clothing designer Charlotte Tarantola –discussing her career, her line, holiday and a peek at spring!
As a fashion editor, I get to see lots of fashions long before they hit the stores. As a long-time fashionista, I know a great line when I see one and I particularly love it when I find one that doesn’t take itself too seriously but provides clothing that works for everyday life and can be worked to dress up or down, and can be tweaked to suit your personal style– no matter what style that is.
Princess in Grey
Charlotte Tarantola is a gang-busting line that’s going places (as in out the door of stores like Nordstrom in beautiful bags) and into closets across the country.
Marilyn Leopard –front
Charlotte Tarantola is more than just a line– it’s the name of the designer too.
Marilyn Leopard- back
Her infectious ways of creating fun and unique designs out of basic items like skirts, tops and sweaters makes getting dressed so much more fun– and it’s really a reflection of style.
Princess –Cream
Take a good listen to the podcast with Charlotte to hear about
Pedigree in Black
- how she got started in fashion design
- how she wound up in LA
- how she started her own line
- where it’s going for holiday
Pedigree in Twig (this is holiday as is most everything on this blog except where indicated!)
- a hint of spring on the way.
- And what she did for Breast Cancer Awareness for Fred Segal Fun in Santa Monica in conjunction with a Hollywood celebrity
Charlotte is just so much fun to talk with.. because she’s all about the fashion and making it fun, easy and reflective of who YOU are so that you wear the clothes- and the clothes don’t wear you!
Rochelle (Resort Collection)
She’s one of my favorite people to talk to and whenever I see her, I spend a very long time chatting. (*editing this podcast was tons of fun.. there was a lot to cut because we talked girl talk). Charlotte knows what women want– which is feminine fashion with a wink and a smile– and she delivers every time.
There will be another podcast about something new with Charlotte Tarantola and we will add more photos to this podcast/blog.
