More often than not, brides –and bridal party– are turning to the pros to get their hair done for the "big day" since they will make it camera ready and work with the hair type to keep it in place and looking fab all day.
The trick is in knowing how to talk to your hair stylist– and you might have to shop around a bit to find the best stylist to fit YOUR needs. We turned to celebrity stylist Allen Edwards here in LA for tips on bridal hair. From hair coloring, to time lines and what to do about the bridal party, Allen Edwards provides tons of information
Key Tips:
Think about what you want your hair to look like. What are the hair trends for the season and what style of dress you are wearing.
Shop around for a stylist who is experienced with the look you want for your wedding day.
Brings lots of photos of hair styles, but also of the wedding dress and if you have done a test of your make-up, bring a photo of that too. It helps the stylist understand the "look" you are trying to achieve.
Make sure you bring the veil in too because it’s essential to creating the perfect look so that once you remove it, that your hair doesn’t come tumbling down.
Also make sure you have a camera when you actually have your practice style done with lots of shots so that your stylist can duplicate it later on. The stylist sees and works on a zillion heads and may not remember exactly how it was done the first time.
