Recipe for Beauty Success: Get Gorge with Chris Scott the Makeup Gourmet!

Do you ever walk into a beauty department or store and know you want to buy something only to get "lost" in the mix and myriad of products –be it skincare, lip, eye or cheek colors, or even makeup tools? Do you wonder "what the heck" and walk out unable to buy because you are suddenly without direction and nothing seems to look right or everything jumps out at you? Do you find that you are unable to make a decision because there are way too many choices– or maybe not the right choices at that moment despite being surrounded by hundreds of products?

If so, have I got a scoop for you, Chris Scott, the Makeup Gourmet, is a make-up artist based in San Francisco that the head MA from Bourjois turned me onto a couple years back as one of a handful of "go-to" MA’s (make-up artists) who could give me the scoop on products across the board– and not just attached to one line.

Not only has he worked with numerous celebrities but he’s known for his work with brides and special occasion makeup. What’s nice is that he has a website with a low-key approach to makeup and application.  He’s got a great little e-book  entitled

The Cosmetic Counter Survival Guide

on how to navigate the counters and find the right products for your skintype and skintone. No more "wrong" color or texture purchases any longer, it’s well worth the  $7.95 for the download.

If you want a more "hands on" approach, you can buy his DVD  version (54 mins) for  just a hair under $20.00.

He does newsletters and creates "looks" with simple step by step recipes including recommending which tools to use!

Scott even has a bargain-priced collection of brushes that will have you set for life! (makes a great bridal, mother’s day or birthday present!)

Check out his website at the http://www.makeupgourmet.com/home.html

That’s all for today! I have been a VERY busy  Beauty Buzz girl– so more soon!

If you try out Chris Scott’s book or talk to him or get his brushes, do let me know!

See you at the beauty counter!
