Filter Magazine and The Roxy Theatre are collaborating to insure music will reign supreme on the Sunset Strip. Filter prides itself on being a magazine for people who love music, and is working with the legendary Roxy Theatre, Filter is bringing these live acts to Los Angeles on a weekly basis.
Kicking off Thursday, July, 19th 2007 and running through the entire summer, Filter will host a weekly series at The Roxy, aptly called “Revenge of the Sunset Strip.” The evening will include the most cutting edge/emerging local bands, DJs and a whole slew of fun onsite summer activities. The historic Roxy Theatre, whose stage was made famous by the sweat of slews of rock n roll stars does not miss a beat, reaffirming its position as King of the Sunset Strip and in the pages of music history.
“We are extremely excited for this opportunity to bring these bands we feel so passionate about to a live audience. It’s our intention to not only showcase our favorite bands but to also create an entire event around each evening,” said Alan Miller co-publisher of Filter Magazine.
Participating bands will receive in-book coverage, a section filmed for a Filter TV segment to appear on Filter-mag.com and syndicated on Grouper network channels.
“Revenge of the Sunset Strip” kicks of with a performance by Kenna on July 19, 2007 and is followed up by J*DaVeY, Pop Levi, The Redwalls, and The Deadly Syndrome in the weeks to come. “Revenge of the Sunset Strip” promises to include surprise guest appearances, drink specials, giveaways and lots of surprises!
