FRESH celebrated it’s SWEET SIXTEEN Party at Barneys New York in Beverly Hills. You probably just read the previous post about the event.
There was a bit more to that event than I mentioned in that post and I thought it deserved a bit more attention in another post. Having indicated that the FRESH celebration drew in guests from people off the street. Well that included a group of people who were part of an event from Sotheby’s International Realty who had a party across the street.
When a group of the Sotheby’s “gang” were walking by, they decided to drop in for a glass of bubbly — lead by James Rucker, a Sotheby’s International Realtor.
Here’s a group shot photo. The circle on the left indicates James Rucker in the glasses with “partner in crime” Josh Klein, also a realtor with the same firm.
Note the arrow on the right–that’s Yuchin Mao, Creative Director of Three Dots. ( I am behind her and NOT in the photo).
As the Sotheby’s group migrated “south” to the make-over station and a bit more space, Yuchin had just gotten finished having her make-up done and Rucker decided that he needed a bit of pampering. He hopped onto the chair and was game for everything that the Fresh Make-up artist could apply to refresh and revitalize his skin (while he sipped a flute of Veuve Cliquot). .
Here’s a shot of Rucker after his “treatments. Looking good huh!
While Rucker was getting pampered, Josh kept us amused with stories about James Rucker and what he does– or doesn’t do. What I can’t tell you is just how funny this guy is and how much fun trouble you can get into with him hanging around.. and it is FUN! He had everyone laughing and just watching what he was going to do next. What can I say– but this guy knows how to party down.
We all snagged a SUGAR soap when the tray was passed– that was the “party favor” for the night.
So if you haven’t heard of James Rucker, now you have. If you ever see him around town, make sure you tell him you saw him here on the LA-Story.com. Consider yourself “Rucker”ized!!
See ya Rucker and Josh. It was fun!!

I grew up with james rucker from high school on, and I can tell you from 20+ yrs of knowing “The Jim”, as he has called himself since then, that he is truly one of a kind. And that is the best thing one could possibly wish for mankind! Those that know him love him, and those that know him…well, still love him little…
Why am I not surprised?!:)
