Virgin Mobile USA, Inc. [NYSE:VM], a leading provider of no-annual-contract wireless phone services targeted at the youth market, is hosting The RE*Generation Gallery 2007 Auction and Benefit to raise awareness and support for the issue of youth homelessness in America.
A night of art, dinner and great music will coincide with National Homeless Youth Awareness Month in November, designated by Congress as a result of efforts by Virgin Mobile and its partners.
A silent auction will feature a special gallery of works of art created by 21 internationally renowned artists. It is a 3 hour event that will be attended by the who’s who of the art, entertainment and fashion communities.
Who: Special guest host (TBD) and LCD Soundsystem founder, James Murphy. Artists involved in the silent auction include Diane Barcelowsky, Melinda Beck, Calef Brown, Thomas Campbell, Clayton Brothers, Daniel Davidson, James Gallagher, Julie Goldstein, Matt Hansel, Caroline Hwang, Jordan Isip, Chesiel John, Greg Lamarche, Matt Leines, Julia Marchand, Taylor McKimens, Jean-Pierre Roy, Antonio Sanchez, Denise Tassin, and Eric White, all of whom were specifically chosen by artist and curator Rich Jacobs for their powerful imagery.
