It’s holiday time and that means PARTIES and lots of them. You need to get a couple of “looks” down and wear them to death– meaning learn how to work the cosmetics and create a variety of looks with a polish and precision that makes going from day to night easy, fun and fast… and definitely will attract that second or third glance!!
NARS Cosmetics has an amazing collection for Holiday 2007– the Siren Song Collection . FeteaFete.com Blogger, Tami has a great little piece on this collection– one that I have been scoping out myself–ok ok.. let’s say more like drooling over trying to figure out which pieces to buy–though I KNOW what I should buy but it’s the additional things I want to try that have me singing the “what do I choose blues”.

The collection is more a spin on the Sugar Plum Fairy type of colors and perfectly adorable- and can be wildy sexy if you work it right.
Here’s what Tami suggests:
Their new 2007 Holiday Collection is full of shimmery plums and glittery silver, along with pretty crimson shades for the lips.
There’s a lot of fun colors to play with for the eyes. The Violetta duo eyeshadow contains a smoky lavender and a soft metaillic violet, allowing you to go for a soft and elegant look, or you can layer for a more dramatic effect.
The Cheyenne duo is another winner with a metallic sienna and a gothic plum.
I also love the sparkly glints in the Night Rider single eyeshadow.
Personally I love the Night Snow too –since you can use it on the inner corner of the eye or on the brow bone to open up and add shimmer to the eye.. plus use it as a highlighter on the cheekbones– lightly stroking a bit of white across the tops of the cheekbones to create more dimension. You can use a dab of it on the M between the top of the lips too for more definition.
There’s a LOT more to Tami’s article — and if I ran it here, you wouldn’t have anything to read But do check out her recommendations on lip colors — yummy and scorchingly sexy!!
