One of the great things about Prescriptives that I love (and love and love and love) is that they have a wide variety of colors and textures that work. Don’t let the color-families scare you away. You aren’t limited to one tiny piece of the color spectrum– you have 3 of the 4 parts you can work with and neutral colors as well. Yummy colors and textures: mattes, shimmers, shines, loose dusts and more!
First things first, you need to start with a great canvas– and that means prep thy skin!
Check out SUPER LINE PREVENTER EXTREME which is an amazing product that smooths out imperfections, brightens, refines and softens any redness. It’s a glorious all in one product that does a huge amount of good for very little dough — considering you use 3-4 drops a day!

Once the canvas is prepped, bring on the color baby! Again, limited edition but the palettes are gorgeous, collections of color that are refillable — which means you aren’t stuck with a color you already have. (just pop it out and hand it off to a BFF)
. The Colorscope Refillable Palettes come in Warm and Cool and have the most wearable colors in a mirror included palette. It slides neatly into a purse but you won’t need it because the colors last all day (and all night. .. ummm. Don’t ask how I know. Just take my word for it, they last all night!)
Since blush is included in the palette, nothing is left to chance. In terms of eye colors, the Colorscope Creamy Shadows are truly gorgeous and the colors are smokin’ haute. (I have 3 of them, Maroon Glace, Smoking Gun (sounds like me huh) and Chai Tea which does miraculous things for my eyes).
The Moonbeam Reflective Shadows are a more liquid cream luminous color.
There is a liquid liner that’s amazing as well as a great pencil liner. The new Brow Pencil is the best thing I have seen in L O N G time!! Called Groomstick, it’s available in just a couple of colors but duplicates the fine tiny hairs and has the most amazing brush too.
Lips have ton of choices including a CUSTOM BLEND Lipgloss that you can make truly your own color!! The Shine Envy and the Moonbeam Quartet have different textures of luminous glowing color. Give me the little compact of Lip Strips— it’s coordinated stripes of gloss color to blend your perfect color and leave you with lusicous lips.
All the better to tempt him with when you sip cocktails or champagne.
Don’t forget to check out the myriad of mascara choices: False Eyelashes and Lash Envy for lashes to die for (they don’t call it “Lash Me Up, Lash Me Down” for no reason.. Lash Envy does it every time!)
