Celebrities Featured: Eva Longoria, Gabrielle Anwar
Eva Longoria
Colour: Great choice of colour for her – it intensifies her dark hair and sets of her beautiful taint.
Bodyshape: The volume of in the skirt is well chosen for her frame and with slight bubble (or whatever it is) going in at the bottom , it balances perfectly her shoulder line. The long waisted dress seems not to be so ideal for her smaller waist because it makes her appear fuller and straighter. Also, her decollete line looks too small unless she was going for the look- a look especially favoured by Posh.
Style: Her smooth hair looks beautiful with this type of dress and I also like the contrasting metallic shoes-so in line with the current fashion trend. However the style of this pair looks wrong with her dress- it reminds more of slippers you wear at home.
Overall Rating: 4**** 4 stars
Gabrielle Anwar
Colour: Good choice by wearing the darker colour blocks nearer her face and the lighter away- it wouldn’t have worked for her the other way around. Also, by matching it with a warmer camisole underneath it blends in with her tan and makes the dress appear softer.
Bodyshape: What a very difficult dress to pull off and you need to have the most perfect bodyshape and proportion to make it work- and she most definitely has. First you need to have the height to bring the pattern out, that it drapes and move at the right places and also has the right fit on your body. Secondly, you need to have the right size of bussom so that it gives it the right counter balance to the volume on the bottom. Thirdly you need to have a good waist line to cope with the additional fabric around your waistline otherwise it would add bulk to your figure.
Style: She goes for a “dress down”, creative one of kind “in the moment” look which she managed to pull of beautifully. This batik printing cold have reminded us very quickly with the seventies when paired with the also “currently very in fashion” gladiator shoes.
Instead, she gives it a feminine and elegant touch by combining the dress with these sandal wedges, which blend it with the dress but contrast in style and fabric. Her relaxed hairstyle pulls the whole look together and lets the dress take the limelight
Overall Rating: 6****** 6 Stars
