What’s typical for the fashion editor is to get corrupted by the opulence that one sees: the usual designers, what’s typically shown in magazines and jewelry books. I am always looking for the cutting edge new designer because I don’t wear “traditional” jewelry. I did spot something that probably has corrupted me for other lines– meaning that I want this one so badly, I might just hock the BMW — but then again, maybe not.
Looking for something outside the usual box in the way of jewelry, that *something* was astonishing and breath-taking– as in design, colored gems and — of course– price tag.
Corrupt Design is more than an amazing line– it’s totally breath-taking and one that is so decadently unique that there were at least 5 pieces in there that I was salivating over. The brain child of designer Michael Bruder, he is all about pushing that proverbial envelope far past what you think it should be– and of course the price tag reflects that but who cares when you see something soooooooo gorge that your jaw hits the ground with a thud.
This cross is 5″ tall, pink/red Rubelite tourmalines with about 5 carats of white diamonds. Price is about $28,000. Yes, I know, it’s seriously pricey. But think about this, it’s seriously gorgeous and how many pieces out there are like this one?
Not many.
