Celebrities Reviewed: Christina Hendricks (Mad Men) and Brooke Shields (Lipstick Jungle)
Christina Hendricks
COLOR: The green really sets her red hair and pale skin in motion- beautiful choice.
Body Shape:
She is her full hourglass in her shape that means her shoulders are in balance with hips and are bigger in her bust. The dress line is perfect to show of her perfect proportion and underline her long waist.
The gathering at her waist creates a nice detail that shows off her figure. Her choice of bigger straps in this garmet work great for her bigger bust.
Style: The gladiator shoes give the outfit a current touch. I like that she skips any further acessoires that would take the attention away from her curvy figure or even overpower it.
But what was she thinking when stepping out with that hair style? Not only does the hair style look awkward, it looks awkward with her dress and the overall style presentation. It is almost as if she brough a “comic-book character” and brought her to life. The hairstyle makes her outfit look fake which is a pity. At that point, the entire ensemble falls apart.
Overall Rating: 4**** Four Stars
Brooke Shields
Color: What a magnificent colour for her colouring. It really sets of her beautiful hair and eyes.
Body Shape:
Brooke is a rectangle in her bodyshape, so she doesn’t have much of a waist but is straight instead. Therefore she should not wear any belts, waist bands or other details in her waist area that highlights this lack of shape and emphasizes the straightness of her figure. Instead she should opt for clothes lines that create this illusion of a waist. Her pink belt and brooch in her waistline do not flatter her shape but just do the opposite.
Her bodice also sits a bit too low and looks if it has dropped out of its real position with the result that she looks flatter around her bust than she really is.
Style: Having long legs as she does, she can take ruffles from her waist down. However the ruffles around her bottom don’t do her any favours because they just highlight her straightness in bodyshape rather creating a curved waist and bottom. These ruffles do look better the further down they go.
Her accessories and make up are fabulous for her age and outfit, and the choice of dress as well so in line with the current fashion.
Overall Rating: 4**** (the colour of her dress and style how she wears make up for the wrong shape of dress) Four Stars
