The elections are almost here and given the dynamics of this election and debate,

it was interesting to see Senator McCain on David Letterman where he seemed less than at ease–though he did apologize twice. Letterman seems to be a political lightning rod of his own genre and he definitely has questions to ask. (Keith Olberman was standing by backstage in case McCain didn’t show!).
The Alfred Smith Dinner in NYC showed a side of the candidates we saw far too rarely– their personalities and their sense of humor. This was a refreshing look at two men who realized that they had served in Congress together and each took the pokes with good humor.
While Tina Fey has been typically all about Sarah Palin, making it clear she wants the election over *yesterday*, SNL gave the task to someone else — which was Fey’s alter-ego, Sarah Palin.
Governor Palin hosted Saturday Night Live and had her own spin on the election humor.
