Someone sent me this cool little video and I have to say that I love it! This well-produced video shows a lot of style and polish in the production values as well as in the apartments.
What the video shows you is how to make the most of space– and what is out there to take it upscale without totallly breaking you into the 5 digits in NYC, LA or San Francisco depending on the area.

Mojo.com and Kalvin Sims put it all in perspective– though I will say that the first room– the bedroom/entertainment room & shower in one small space gives me serious pause.
Here’s my take:
Love the concrete textured wood walls. Skip the moose wallpaper (too Sarah Palinesque)
Dig the great kitchen!! Bring it on but make sure to add a compact dishwasher underneath that counter.
The bathroom is killer but croc underfoot– no way; ON my foot or handbag, yes! Did like the shower though. However the tub got my serious attention.
I did notice that one thing was *never* mentioned and I bet any girl would notice this and few guys would.
Can we say “closets”? Not a closet in sight, seen or shown. That’s the key to a perfect compact apartment (though the sauna was cool)
Now chant after me: closets, closets, closets…
