Digging into the holidays, it’s all about the drinks and the food– more specifically the cocktails and the candy — and especially the chocolate.
I don’t know what it is about chocolate that drives us insane but there’s something about that cacao bean and where it’s from and how the liquor is distilled from it and how it’s blended to create divine confections that are thrilling to the tastebuds as they are to the anticipation.
One brand I ran across was featured on the Rachael Ray show and boy did it ever deserve that exposure. This brand- Chocolatique
From an 8 piece “boutique” box to the 30 piece “indulgence” box plus bars, marshmallows, nuts, novelties, sauces, ganaches and beverages, there’s nothing you can’t find in the online store that won’t entice you and intoxicate you in a chocolate -loving haze. The option to build your own box out of the multitude of flavors — could take you literally hours– even if you choose just one piece in each flavor.
I got the boutique of the champagne with gold dust and it’s made from Dom Perignon. It’s distinctive in its’ taste and the smoothness of the filling and the chocolate made it hard to resist– but I managed for about 2 weeks to stretch out the chocolate till I sat down to write this post.
Decadent Dessert Box– 30 pieces. (Don’t think that will be enough though!! Hide it!! )
hmmm I wonder why? I had two pieces just to get me in the mood.
Wouldn’t take long for anyone to dive into a box of these chocolates — and make sure you do have some champagne or perhaps some cognac or fine coffee to go along with these artisanal chocolates. You won’t be sorry– scratch that.. You will be sorry, once the chocolates are gone!!
Check it out at http://www.choclatique.com/.
This is one of those chocolate boxes I will regret finishing– because there is nothing left.
