Getting Into the Blue-Eyed Soul of Hall & Oates & WellAboveAverage.com

Well AboveAverage’s Stella does qualify for blue-eyed soul. She’s got the prettiest blue eyes around. And hearing Hall & Oates not only in this one post: Live at the Troubadour . What Stella covered in this post was a review of the DVD.
The May 2008 performance was captured Blaze TV with 10 remote-controlled HD cameras creating audio and visuals that allows the viewer to experience the performance as if they were inside the crowded LA club. The result was released in three formats – DVD, Blu-Ray, and a 1-DVD/2-CD combo, via Shout! Factory on November 25th.

Stella reviewed the CD/DVD collection and wow.. powerful music and great performances.
She goes into great detail (read it people, READ IT) and then hit another post of her’s that’s HERE that features a youtube.com video of one of the killer songs performed live: Do What You Want; Be Who You Are .
Wow… Darryl Hall is freaking amazing. I have one of their greatest hits CDs and it’s awesome — but seeing them live, that’s something inspiring.
If I didn’t know Stella better I would say she was telling me something but the video is powerful and resonates as well today as it would have in the 90’s .. perhaps more now because these guys can sing. Hall’s voice is incredible.
Catch both these posts– they are certainly a great read.
PS.. look for more music reviews coming at you from me soon!
