NYFW: Shu Uemura Lights Up the Beauty of Vivienne Tam's Fashions!

Spring was definitely in the air at Vivienne Tam’s Spring 2010 runway show. Perfect for butterfly kisses and a fashion show whose leitmotif was an array of beautiful monarchs, shu uemura’s Farfallina false eye lashes, created by Shu Uemuras artistic director Gina Brooke, fluttered down the catwalk at Vivienne Tam’s Spring 2010 runway collection.

“Butterflies were seen everywhere in Vivienne’s collection which was inspired by freedom, life and the 1960’s,” said Brooke. “It was only natural to have these
beautiful, wing-like lashes flank the models’ eyes to resemble one of earth’s most
gorgeous creatures.”

The delicate lashes, which were applied to the top and bottom lash lines, are made of a triple layer of brown and black strands with different levels of curlers and longer lashes toward the outer edge to give a voluminous, but natural look.

To play on the “natural” theme of the show, and to make the lashes really pop on the runway, Brooke used shu uemura’s newest foundation, Nobara Cover Cream Stick, to create beautiful, clean, flawless skin.

“I have never seen a foundation that is so longwearing and creamy give such a natural finish,” said Brooke. “It makes for the perfect backdrop for the models’ fluttering lashes.”

Completing the look, Brooke used shu uemura’s new Echo blush to give cheeks a soft highlight and the brand’s new eye brow gel to add a bit of definition to the brows. Rouge Unlimited BG 942 was added to the lips for a romantic, soft look.
