Holidays Are Time to Give to Those in Need Through BeautyBus.org!!

Beauty Bus Foundation, is a new non-profit organization that hit the social landscape here in LA earlier this year. This amazing foundation provides in-home beauty and grooming services free of charge to home-bound physically impaired, ill or disabled individuals and their primary caregivers.

By serving both the client and the caregiver we strive to provide respite, a sense of dignity and an enjoyable activity that can be shared– as two people whose lives are intertwined and can find mutally beneficial.
By offering clients a chance to be touched and cared for in a nurturing way that is not about their disease, BBF inspires uplifted spirit, dignity and well-being. Caregivers devote their life to caring for someone else. Rarely are their needs considered as they give selflessly to others.

Feeling beautiful and getting pampered provides both a visible and emotional lift. Being pampered and touched by someone other than a physician or medical practitioner is rare for people who are suffering from diseases and impairments.
A beauty or grooming treatment gives them an activity to look forward to, an hour out of their disease– to be normal and treated to the activities that most people get to experience on a monthly basis.
Many caregivers are family members; wives, children, parents, siblings who do not have the time, energy or funds to take care of themselves. They too need a lift and need to be reminded that they matter.

The Beauty Bus Foundation strives to give people something to look forward to, to make them feel beautiful, which raises self esteem, to help them maintain their dignity and to enhance their quality of life in the way that we know how.
This organization is something of a miracle that blesses the patient and caregiver with a time that’s free of being “patient” or “caregiver” but allows them to be “client” to get these treatments that help provide self-esteem and even some relief from the stresses of their daily lives.
