Windows 7 Drops Functionality in Photo-Editing & Graphics!!

I just got back from spending a week in Central New York– the land of the glorious finger lakes and amazing fall color (except for the Nor-Easter storm that had me shivering because California girls don’t have “warm clothes” — at least not warm enough for that kind of weather).

Anyway, in the course of editing photos from our day out running across the countryside (and it really is COUNTRY), I took over 95 photos while my BFF Donna drove us around in a Miata (*sans convertible top!), enjoying the lovely fall weather so I could experience everything FALL which I had never seen.
However the wake-up call was two-fold: 1) the storm that was a true Nor-Easter storm but it as rain and not snow and 2) the editing of the photos on her new Toshiba Windows 7 computer vs the editing on her XP computer. HUGE difference in the editing process which I decided was worthy of a rap on the knuckles to Microsoft for eliminating some of the best graphic features of the XP and Photoshop congruence.

Windows 7 Loses Functionality in Dealing with Photographs! from stevie wilson on Vimeo.

A huge complaint from my friend D who happened to upgrade from a Windows XP to Windows 7 and found that dealing with photos and slideshows became virtually (pun intended and it’s actually honest) unusable. While XP allows you to open up a photo by right clicking and deal with slide shows in a similar manner, all those functions are now gone with MS 7! Microsoft ignored her requests till she hit a forum and found out that they don’t support those functions and won’t — unless people request an upgrade.
so hop to it peeps, You can’t edit your photos easily in Windows 7.. no bueno when holidays are coming up!
