Iconic Hairstylist Oribe gave Salma Hayek sexy, tousled waves for her September Allure cover.
“This look is all about relaxed, natural hair,” said Oribe of his inspiration for the style. “There is an effortless feel to hair that we’ll see this fall. I think it’s sexy to have a style that’s not too perfect. In Salma’s case, I let her hair dry naturally and curled it a little with a curling iron here and there. I tailored the style so it works with her hair’s natural movement. What’s interesting about this look is the mix of textures. There is a modern easiness to that.”
How To Get the Look:
Prep your hair with Foundation Mist.
Separate your hair into sections, apply Royal Blowout Heat Styling Spray and blow hair out, section by section, some more smoothly than others.
Blow out the bangs and the front pieces at the root, so the look is smoother in the front. If you’re going for a curlier style, it’s ok to keep the bangs smooth and change the texture in other areas.
Spray hair with my Soft Lacquer Heat Styling Spray and use a curling iron to add texture to sections.
