Alannis Morrisette and Blake Mycoskie (Tom’s Shoes) Are Featured on Sundance Channel ” The Mortified Sessions” Tonight!

Watch Sundance Channel’s “The Mortified Sessions” tonight to catch host David Nadelberg’s candid interviews with singer/songwriter Alanis Morissette and TOMS™ creator Blake Mycoskie as these theyh dive into their fascinating childhood stories.

Alanis talks about growing into her sexuality at a very young age:

“Basically as a fourteen-year-old I used to dress inappropriately older: a ton of make-up and big hair – and dating way older men, and they knew [I was fourteen] which made it even more tweaked and crazy…the only thing that seemed non-threatening to men was for me to be a sexual girl, but I was too young to calibrate it – I didn’t have the emotional maturity to yield it in a discerning, protective way.”

Tom’s Shoes Chief Shoe Giver, Blake shares about learning business lessons after launching his laundry business in college. Watch this video to learn how he and his partner turned their business around from near failure into a success

“The first six months of the business we were failing miserably, so we decided to fill up four or five bags of laundry and go every single day and pretend we were picking up and delivering laundry all day – so people would get out of class and constantly see the easy laundry truck going back and forth, carrying our own laundry … then, [people] soon started signing up. So, what I learned was – perception is more important than reality.”
