It’s often a struggle to get through a market and figure out what foods are the healthiest as well as the most affordable for your food budget. Often saving $$ beats getting great nutrition. However, if you are thoughtful about what you put in the cart and in your body, you might spend a tiny bit more but get a lot more out of it so that you actually have better nutrition which means a healthier you.
Self Magazine curates the best of the foods that are out there with there Self Healthy Food Awards. (who knew? I didn’t). The cool thing is that they found things like fries, ice cream and other treats that you can have that won’t bust your budget but taste great too.
Nutrition Editor Carin Gorrell reviews the highlights of this Healthy Foods Awards in this video.
The cool part is that you can see the entire list when you buy Self Magazine on counter now or if you go to
Self.com and check out the list there. It would sure make shopping easier. They even found sweet potato fries that are really healthy for you (luv!)
