UglyDoll is not new to this site. I adore UglyDoll characters— I have a small collection of them. Small isn’t quite the word because these are really SMALL and the ones I had that were larger plush toys: Minimum Wage and one other character– my dog loved them too. He loved them to death. So if you are into quirky toys and gifts, this is for you! Read on about ThumbTack Press and how they have partnered up with UglyDoll in providing prints of various UglyDolls!
ThumbTack Press shared how UglyDolls got started. I had not heard this before– despite being a huge fan.
Do you know about the story of founders David Horvath and Sun-Min Kim sending sweet letters to each other and signing off with a little character that David invented called Wage? And about how Sun-Min sewed and sent David a Wage plush doll, which Giant Robot in LA promptly fell in love with? And how Wage led to other UGLYS, and how they’ve captured people’s imaginations the way few characters ever have?
Here are a few UglyDoll prints for you to check out. There are more of them HERE
