The City of Beverly Hills is partnering with Oldfield’s Liquor Room/ 1933 Group Mixologist, Aaron Stepka for class on creating unique, artisanal cocktails– which are totally all the rage across So. California! This class will be held in the secret speakeasy hidden inside the historic Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills.
Participants will gather ingredients ranging from the apothecarian’s cabinet (bitter herbs, flowers, roots etc) for mixing and manifesting the perfect recipe. The class will cover the history behind bitters making, as well as some common and not-so-common ingredients that make up traditional and new essences. Each participant will get to create a unique bitters formula to take home plus they’ll get to incorporate them into a personalized signature cocktail. Participants will also use pure grain spirits to make their own unique liqueur infusion from a citrus flavor bar. Such kiiller fun to do this and you will be on your way to becoming a mixologist if you keep taking classes like this!
“Triple Sec will forever be banned from your liqueur cabinet after this class! For those of you with an adventurous palate, we’ll also be infusing coffee beans and lavender just to shake things up!” comments Stepka.

About the Institute
Established in 2011 the Institute of Domestic Technology’s mission is to reignite the passion of how we make food, the ingredients we source and the farms on which they originate.
Through classes, workshops, tours and events the Institute will be a resource to discover lost arts, invent new ones and explore the domestic technologies you already know even further.
Don’t miss this great opportunity to learn a new skill that will impress your friends and make you an in-demand person at every party. Get good enough and you could charge to create a special cocktail and keep mixing at parties. –
