The beauty looks for the 2012 Emmys was as diverse as the nominees and the shows– in other words, all over the map. We have the beauty breakdown for three lovelies who walked the red carpet– and each has a unique presentation!!
Make-up Artist: Beau Nelson
BEAUTY INSPIRATION:
“For Archie I wanted to showcase her natural beauty. The colors I chose to work with all exist naturally in Archie’s skin, I just enhanced them to create a more dramatic. almost exaggerated natural look.”
Get the Look:
“I prepped Archie’s skin using Lancer Nourish Moisturizer all over the face.
I treated under eyes with Kerstin Florian Correcting Eye Rescue Pads and followed with Kerstin Florian Brightening Eye Creme.
On skin, I used Laura Mercier Oil Free Foundation and set it with Laura Mercier Mineral Pressed Foundation Powder. I used NARS Laguna Bronzer and Dolce and Gabbana Rose blush on cheeks.
On eyes, I used MAC Coffee Pencil and MAC Charcoal Brown Shadow and Bobbi Brown Mahogany Eyeshadow. I curled lashes with the Shu Uemura lash curler and applied two coats of Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Mascara.
On lips, I used NARS Salsa Lip Pencil and CHANEL Glossimer in Mystery
Ariel Winter
Make-up Artist: Toby Fleischman
BEAUTY INSPIRATION:
“With the amazing sequin gown Ariel chose for the Emmy Awards, we wanted a soft, fresh look for her make up to focus on the eyes but keep everything looking really clean and youthful.”
Get the Look:
“To prep the skin I used my new favorite moisturizer ReVive Sensitif Oil-Free Lotion with SPF-15 (that sun was strong!).
Ariel has the most incredible skin so I used just a bit of CHANEL Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation to give it a glow.
Bringing the attention to those spectacular big, brown eyes, I smudged NARS Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner in Madison Avenue all around the lash line to give it that soft, smoky look. On the lid, NARS Eyeshadow in Delphies to add some shimmer. It was a NARS trifecta to sculpt Ariel’s cheeks – Zen to contour, the multiple in Undress Me for a highlight and the perfect pop of pink Gaiety for some color.
Finishing off the look is Laura Mercier Sheer Lip Colour in Baby Lips to keep that smile camera-ready all night!”
Kat Dennings
Make-up Artist Beau Nelson
BEAUTY INSPIRATION:
“Kat loves a dramatic lip, and for the Emmy’s we thought pairing that with a nude eye with an emphasis on the lashes would be beautiful and modern looking.”
Get the Look:
“I prepped Kat’s skin using NARS skin products and then applied Tom Ford Brightening Primer. I used Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in #2 and Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage to even her skin tone and cover any redness.
I used MAC Blush in Taupe under cheekbones and then applied Tom Ford Lip and Cheek Stain in Tainted Love to the apples of the cheek and blended.
On her eyes, I used NARS Eyeshadow Duo in All About Eve and then applied several coats of L’Oreal Carbon Black Mascara.
I defined her lips using the NARS Lip Pencil in Amazon and then applied Hourglass Cosmetics Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Icon.”
Thanks to these fabulous makeup artists and The Wall Group for these beauty breakdowns! Now YOU can create a look that approximates some of the best on the Emmy red carpet!
