People wonder how to help those in need — particularly when time is scarce to volunteer or they wonder about donation they feel is not quite enough. What do you do when you want to help but really want the bucks you donate to make a visible difference? Turn to TOMS Shoes and buy a pair (or more) of shoes for kids, adults or gifts- there’s something for everyone.
TOMS Shoes #OneforONe program is well-known for having provided shoes for children and eyecare for those in need around the globe. The company recently hit the mark of having given away it’s 10 Millionth pair of shoes in June 2013. In the next 18-24 months, TOMS expects to give away another 10 million pairs of shoes to children in need. Just two years since launching TOMS Eyewear, Toms and its’ Sight-Giving Partners have helped restore vision to more than 150,00 people!
Want to learn more about the background of TOMS “OneforOne program? Check out the information at this link . The details from Blake Mycoskie and other members of the TOMS team spell it all out in that post.
Now TOMS has a new aspect to the program– circling back to help those in the U.S. who are in need. It’s easy to donate a pair of shoes or eyewear by merely buying shoes or sunglasses from TOMS stores or www.toms.com

TOMS #OneforOne Program has already started in the USA. It has been in these states:Kentucky and South Dakota. Now TOMS has chosen three more states: New York, New Mexico and California to bring shoes to children in need. By the end of 2014, TOMS expects to have been in 35 states providing shoes.
How do you participate in this “give back” or #OneForOne? SHOP!! You can find TOMS shoes at www.Toms.com or find a store near you on their website HERE . They have shoes in most major clothing retailers like Nordstrom, Bloomingdales etc but also you can find them as easily in a store near you– which I did when I went into WHOLE FOODS and found this display last week:
And a close-up of the basic shoes in a mind-boggling array of colors:
When you think about it, there’s a lot you can do just by checking out the TOMS site and shopping online, visiting stores near you and even when you unexpectedly run into them.
Stay tuned. There will be a post about the fashion aspect because there’s a lot more to TOMS than basic slip-on shoes and I am just the fashion-obsessed person who would like to show you some styles you could use for your fall wardrobe that would update it as well as give back on a #OneForOne. It’s a win-win-win for everyone!
“I was thrilled when asked to participate in the TOMS brand ambassadorship program to support TOMS U.S. Giving program. I am bringing this post and #OneforOne news to you as a part of that partnership.” This is a sponsored post but the words and thoughts are my own. If you know me, you don’t even ask that. For those who don’t know me, now you do. I have been featuring TOMS Shoes and brand for since 2006 because I believe in what the company is doing.

This is such a great idea! we don’t have it here yet, but I am sure it would translate well across the pond
The concept is so right. I always love to give and enjoy at the same time. It reminds me of the gospel song about all God’s children got shoes..love this campaign.
