Celebrity hairstylist Steven Mason –who has worked with stars like Emily Blunt, Lauren Conrad, Scarlett Johansson, Annalynne McCord, Kelly Rutherford, Laura Prepon, Selena Gomez, and Audrina Patridge–more recently styled this textured bob for actress and teen style icon Tavi Gevinson. She is set for her acting debut in the comedy Enough Said opposite Julia Louis-Dreyfus and the late James Gandolfini, premiering in theatres this week.
Now the 17-year-old—whom Lady Gaga once dubbed “the future of journalism”—has become the first fashion blogger to turn this notoriety into an acting career.
The products used by Steven Mason and the breakdown to achieve this look!
First, Apply White Sands Curl Up in Silk Mousse ($19.50) to damp or dry hair for hold.
Then determine the hair part and blowdry with a round brush for volume leaving the ends straight.
Keep the root area in the crown flat for less volume and a more sleek look. Once dry, use a flat iron to smooth and straighten the ends slightly if needed. Finish, with a sprinkle of Schwarzkopf’s Dust It for separation and shake hair for that perfectly textured bob.
Love the look of the style. I don’t think there’s a lot of volume at the root in this photo BUT imagine if you bent over and hit the style with a couple of shots from a blow dryer and then smoothed it down. This would be a great look!
