It was Thanksgiving Day and I was reading my newspaper (yes, I actually read a newspaper) and I ran across a considerably large ad for Newegg.com.
While the ad was a full 2 pages and chock full of great products including sports equipment, kitchen and home products; automotive items, fashion accessories, toys, and tons of gaming and home electronics! When you head to the site, there are a slew more categories that include BBQ grills, lawn care and so much more. I had seen the 3D printer on the print ad, and it’s still online along with hundreds of new items every single business day!

Newegg has changed a great deal since I used to linger on their website to include so many more categories of products that it’s honestly a one-stop shop — except it doesn’t sell food.

I was lucky enough to speak with Soren Mills, Newegg CMO on Black Friday to talk about the expanded product mix; hot products, Newegg’s delivery options and lots more.

What’s really fascinating is the product details on the website. Very few products have “one word ” reviews. As Mills discussed with me, that the people that work for Newegg.com go the distance to provide consumers the information that they need to make an informed decision. Reviews by the 25 million customer base contributes a great deal to the consumer knowledge base as well as informs the Newegg staff of what works (and what doesn’t).
