Someone told me today was National Liqueur Day.. which is a quasi-holiday that is definitely worth celebrating right now since this happens to be Friday (thank you TGIF!) I have 3 recipes to share that are definitely worth your attention — and your mixing it up!
These recipes are courtesy of PATRON! Patron seems to be the “patron saint of tequila” and considering the array of products they have, I am certainly not going to argue with that one. (The brand “Patron” and patron are happy coincidence here.) Patron is featuring a newer product that I feel sounds absolutely heavenly for fall (and even better for the holidays)– CAFE XO
Cafe Incendio is the key ingredient in these cocktails. I am sharing (courtesy of Patron) some of their most wickedly delicious Patrón XO Café Incendio cocktails. Cafe Incendio is made with Patrón Silver Tequila, Mexican arbol chile and Criollo chocolate. It’s a distinctively sweet and spicy liqueur that’s perfect for sipping on the rocks, in a variety of cocktails, mixed with coffee for an after-dinner delight or a sweet treat for your Halloween party (the Milky Way cocktail is perfect for the adult trick or treater).
MILKY WAY
1/2 oz Patrón XO Cafe Incendio
3/4 oz Milk
Brandy soaked sour cherries
Method:
Muddle cherries in a shaker. Add remaining ingredients and shake with ice.
Strain through a fine strainer into a rocks glass filled with a fresh ice.
Garnish with cherries on a stick.
BLACK TREASURE
Ingredients:
1 oz Patrón XO Cafe Incendio
1 1/2 oz Ultimat Vodka
1 bar spoon Fernet Branca
1 bar spoon Maraschino liqueur
1 dash orange blossom water
Method:
Stir all ingredients with ice until very cold and diluted. Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
BERRY NICE
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz Patrón XO Cafe Incendio
1/4 oz Fresh lemon juice
4 Blackberries
1 Ginger slice
Method:
Muddle blackberries and a ginger in a shaker. Add remaining ingredients and shake with ice.
Strain through a fine strainer into a rocks glass filled with a fresh ice.
Squeeze and twist a lemon peel. Drop it onto the cocktail.
Because this is Friday and we are heading into a weekend, keep this “national holiday” buzz going with friends by celebrating at home (or in your favor haunt) while drinking these lush cocktails all weekend long!
Happy Sipping!! (and don’t forget to check out the great Sangria recipes below too! )

I am getting great ideas from these combinations…cheery orange blossom is a winner..I also love the idea of brandy soaked cherries..need to keep some of those on hand at all times.
