Long Beach is the 7th largest city in California, but most people when driving up – or down- the 405 pass right by thinking that the city doesn’t have much to offer. Unfortunately, those people are incorrect with a recognized and growing Aquarium, the Queen Mary, great theater, and symphony organizations as well as an active cultural scene and nightlife. While often thought of as a sleepy old town, this city, in the midst of evolution, has a fabulous revival of downtown business and food scene along with a Retro Row for those into vintage and second-hand fashion and goods. Add to that, a nationally recognized university and many other nationally recognized schools from elementary to high school, it’s hard to understand why the population-at-large don’t see Long Beach as a gem of a destination. Long Beach has a thriving beach scene and an active community that seek to improve the lives of its’ residents. It’s a city that people who want to start businesses or families come to because it’s a close-knit and diverse community.
Which is why the Helpful Honda Guys decided to help Justin Rudd after his car was stolen!
Here’s how the Helpful Honda Dealers put it on Facebook:
Justin Rudd is an extremely helpful community leader in Long Beach. He introduced Riley’s Red Wagon Book Swap to the local community as a way for residents to borrow, swap, or donate books, DVDs, and magazines for free. Recently, many of the books from Riley’s Red Wagon were stolen, so we’re sending our Guys in Blue to help with a donation of books.
You can help, too. Donate new or used books by mail, or by dropping them off at 5209 E. The Toledo Drive, #1, Long Beach, CA 90803. Help us help him help the local community get free access to a variety of enjoyable reading materials.
They’re sending the Guys in Blue to take Justin on a book shopping spree at 11:30am on Wednesday, June 29th to purchase and donate books to help him replenish much-needed reading materials for Riley’s Red Wagon.
The SoCal Honda Dealers are also reaching out to their very loyal and active social media followers and created a social media book drive and donation to help Justin as well: https://www.facebook.com/SoCalHondaDealers/photos/a.394735047443.173622.116655387443/10153690268972444/?type=3&theater
