I have a confession. I adore Armani Beauty — wait, wait! That’s not true. It’s more transparent to say I am addicted to Armani Beauty. I have so many products from the brand and I become obsessed with collecting more. The obsession is more than just about packaging, it’s about color, texture and how the products make me feel: swooning in the luxurious texture of the makeup products and diving deep into the scents. I must have 6 different mascaras. I just keep layering them on.
Now that you know of my obsession, it’s no surprise that I would write about Armani Beauty for Mother’s Day (right?) I talked to Celebrity Face Designer and VP of Makeup Artistry, Tim Quinn about this piece and he sent me a few things to play with so that I could write about them with some knowledge. I also got tips and tricks from him and the team of makeup artists and staff.

The face of Si is actress Cate Blanchett who is the perfect representation of the scent.
She is the perfect face and personality for Si, a modern, luxe contemporary fragrance with a seductive note pyramid. It seems light and easy to wear– and it is definitely both those things, until someone draws you in close for a hug or embrace and they get that whiff of scent. It’s a scent they will remember as rather intoxicating.

To me, the roses come out a bit later which is nice because the rose is able to mix with other notes and doesn’t cast such a huge shadow over the preceding notes.

What you are seeing in the photo above are 6 tubes of NOTORIOUS Lip Maestro colors. I have swatched them for you with both a strip of color and a sheered-out blot. The key part is that there is enough pigment in each color that you don’t need a lot of applied colors to get significant pigment on your lips. The photo above is more of a themed photo for Mother’s Day. My kid had bought me some Gerbera daisies in a color she knows I love. It happens to be the same color as one of the Lip Maestro colors. (Smart kid, right? She is her mother’s child!)

The six colors are a range of deep, rich hues except for Paparazzi Pink (518) which is a beautiful sheer pink. Perfect on it’s own or worn over another color. A-List and Notorious are very close in shade but A-list is warmer (and a touch orange) compared to Notorious. Dress Code and Spotlight are similar hues, but one is warmer than the other. Looking for a bold rich pink? You want Maharajah. Such a gorgeous hue. It’s ideal for anything in Spring /Summer 2017.
Application tidbit:
I applied the colors in the above photo about 4 hours ago. The colors on that piece of paper are on my desk as I am typing this up. They are smudge-proof, and they really hold up and there is moisture within the lip color to keep your lip soft and moist without it being shiny. It’s called a satin matte for good reason. You can wear this all day and not worry about losing the color.
