Mixing Up for a Early Summer Bash! Maker’s Mark, Tres Agaves + More Recipes!
It’s now summer- and Fourth of July is on the horizon and moving in fast. You need a cocktail (or three) to be able to share with friends. I am sharing a range of cocktails with you here that you can test drive on your own. It also gives you time to buy the ingredients long before July 1 rolls around which will save you time as we all get closer that that great holiday.
There is variety in the spirits in this group of cocktails. This is just the first for July 4 celebrations; most certainly is not the last!
An elevated version of a staple cocktail, this Manhattan uses Maker’s 46 for a bolder and more complex rendition for anyone who likes to step up his cocktailing game.

½ part sweet vermouth
1-2 dashes Angostura bitters
Maraschino cherry for garnish
Pour the ingredients into a mixing glass with ice cubes.

Sip on a favorite like the Negroni, but with an extra kick using tequila instead of gin.

¾ part Cynar
½ part Punt e Mes
½ part Carpano Antica
Stir all ingredients and serve up with an orange twist.
