Cocktails for the Eclipse: Part 2! Step Up to the Bar and Mix Up One -or BOTH!- Jose Cuervo Tequila Recipes!

Tomorrow, August 21, 2017, there is a full solar eclipse happening about 1 PM ET/10 AM PT. In some areas of the US, you will see a complete eclipse. In other area (like So. California), you will see only a partial eclipse. Whether you celebrate today or you celebrate tomorrow or all of next week, you should try mixing up the cocktails I have curated for this specific event. You can find Post #1 here. Don’t miss this chance to mix up something unusual and interesting to sip! I think they sound like the perfect cocktails. Do try and get out early to get supplies for these cocktails!

Total Especial Eclipse

Ingredients:

2 oz Jose Cuervo Especial
2 oz orange juice
1 tsp grenadine
1/2 oz. charcoal lemonade

Method:
Shake tequila and orange juice and pour into a rocks glass over ice.
Mix charcoal lemonade and grenadine
Slowly pour into the cocktail.
Garnish with lime wedge.

Dark Side of the Sun

Ingredients:
2 oz Jose Cuervo Especial
3/4 oz lime juice
3/4 oz 1:1 simple syrup
1/2 oz Creme de Cassis

Method:
Shake tequila, lime and simple syrup and pour into a rocks glass over ice.
Top ice with Creme de Cassis
Garnish with a mint sprig and lime wheel.
