How many restaurants welcome dogs? Not many! Luckily there is one in Venice that is exceedingly pet-friendly! The Lincoln is one of those places and they are hosting a pet celebration’-type event!
Dog Day Afternoon at The Lincoln is back.. and it’s a most welcome event!
Guests will be able to enjoy dogs, hot dogs and photos of their pets with fellow pet lovers at Venice’s most pet-friendly bar- The Lincoln. Proceeds will benefit Pacific Pups Rescue and Dogs of Service.
WHAT: The Lincoln’s periodic event “Dog Day Afternoon” welcomes dogs to the iconic Venice watering hole

Guests can bring their pooches to the patio, where they can take photos and receive a digital portrait of their pets. Photos are $20 each. A portion of the proceeds will go to local rescue and NKLA partners Pacific Pups Rescue and Dogs of Service.
In order to make guests’ dogs feel right at home on a lazy summer afternoon and evening, the bar will offer dog treats, water bowls, toys, and mixing and mingling in canine camaraderie. MORE:
The Lincoln in Venice is a modern yet vintage craft cocktail bar that just celebrated their one-year anniversary. The Lincoln’s
clapboard street frontage feels inspired by a faded postcard plucked from a dusty swap meet—and recalls the area’s industrial
heritage in the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s when it was home to numerous auto repair and custom shops. The space provides and
rewards community and the mixing of different audiences from workaday drinking buddies to elegant post-dinner dates.
The Lincoln has secured significant accolades since opening, including being named
– one of Los Angeles Magazine’s “…best DogFriendly Bars in Los Angeles;”
– CBS Los Angeles “Best Summer Cocktails in LA;”
– one of LA Eater’s “18 Hottest Cocktail Bars in Los Angeles Summer 2016,” listed #1. #thelincolnla.
Pacific Pups Rescue
Pacific Pups Rescue’s purpose and mission statement is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home surrendered and homeless dogs from kill shelters, the streets, and community members in need. We rescue and carefully re-home dogs of all breeds, ages and sizes. They live in foster homes, where they are loved and continue to learn and grow while we find them forever homes.
Dogs of Service
Dogs of Service is a non-profit 501c3 organization committed to providing military men and women with service dogs that were rescued from the shelter, free of charge while simultaneously building a community of healing. As a No-Kill Coalition partner, they strive to create a supportive and nurturing community for veterans and their dogs as an effective pathway for healing and integration back into civilian life.
NKLA (No-Kill Los Angeles)
NKLA is an initiative of Best Friends Animal Society, bringing together passionate individuals, city shelters and an entire coalition of animal welfare organizations to end the killing of homeless pets in L.A. city shelters. Our plan is straightforward: Provide spay/neuter services where they are needed most so that fewer animals go into shelters and increase adoptions so that more animals are placed into new homes. In 2015, the NKLA Coalition helped find homes for about 27,100 dogs and cats, and Best Friends provided support for about 14,700 spay/neuter surgeries for L.A. pets.

Don’t miss this great event. Even if you don’t have a dog, it’s worth going. Bring friends that do have dogs!!
