Originating from Italy in the 19th century, the Amaro is a staple for those who want to easily digest their Italian feast rather than going straight into a food coma. Luckily, now you don’t have to travel all the way to Italy just to try out this herbal liqueur.
Bettolino Kitchen’s Amaro Flight includes Averna, Gran Classico, and Fernet Angelico to get rid of that uncomfortable full feeling after a dinner full of cheese-filled appetizers and handmade pastas.
–The Averna Amaro herbs are drenched in roots and citrus rinds just before the caramel is added, giving it a thick and sweet flavor that is unlike anything you’ve ever tasted.
–The Gran Classico is soaked in alcohol and water mixture of 25 aromatic herbs and roots which include wormwood, bitter orange, rhubarb, gentian, and hyssop.
–The Fernet Angelico first starts off with a base of grape distilled spirits and then the herbs and spices such as myrrh, rhubarb, chamomile, cardamom, aloe, and saffron are added.
