Experience True Italian Amaros “Sips”– After-Dinner Aperitifs– At Bettolino Kitchen!
Amaro in Italian means “bitter” and Bettolino Kitchen’s Amaro Flight is a variety of just that. The bitter kick is typically used after a night of indulging in carbs because of its reputation of being an after-dinner digestif. Originating from Italy in the 19th century, the Amaro is a staple for those who want to easily digest their Italian feast rather than going straight into a food coma. Luckily, now you don’t have to travel all the way to Italy just to try out this herbal liqueur.
Bettolino Kitchen’s Amaro Flight includes Averna, Gran Classico, and Fernet Angelico to get rid of that uncomfortable full feeling after a dinner full of cheese-filled appetizers and handmade pastas.
–The Averna Amaro herbs are drenched in roots and citrus rinds just before the caramel is added, giving it a thick and sweet flavor that is unlike anything you’ve ever tasted.
–The Gran Classico is soaked in alcohol and water mixture of 25 aromatic herbs and roots which include wormwood, bitter orange, rhubarb, gentian, and hyssop.
–The Fernet Angelico first starts off with a base of grape distilled spirits and then the herbs and spices such as myrrh, rhubarb, chamomile, cardamom, aloe, and saffron are added.
Come in today to try out an authentic Italian flight for yourself while still staying in the South Bay!

ABOUT BETTOLINO KITCHEN
One of the newest additions to the South Bay dining scene, Bettolino Kitchen delivers strong with homemade pastas and fresh takes on Italian classics, including duck breast risotto and braised veal cheeks. Warm and airy, the Redondo Beach location offers rustic, neighborhood charm that balances modern design with plenty of salvaged wood. Brother-and-sister team Vince Giuliano and Andreanna Liguore opened the restaurant with the help of Michelin-starred Italian chef Fabio Ugoletti. The duo’s great-grandparents opened Giuliano’s Deli, while their parents started Gaetano’s—both Italian stalwarts of the South Bay.
