November 28 Is ‘Giving Tuesday’! Give to the Charity or Non-Profit of Your Choice!

What is GivingTuesday? What is the goal?

#GivingTuesday is an unprecedented global movement of generosity founded in 2012 by New York’s 92nd Street Y in partnership with the United Nations Foundation. For the fourth year in a row, Razoo is hosting a Giving Day on our online giving platform inviting nonprofits and individuals from across America to join together and raise funds for the world changing causes that matter to them.


How does it work?

On November 29th, 2016, Razoo will host a 24-hour giving event encouraging charitable donations through our online giving platform in conjunction with the global #GivingTuesday movement.
Razoo will provide toolkits, training sessions, outreach support, mass media and social media coverage to make it easy for all nonprofits to participate. Each participating organization will have an individualized web page to promote their cause. This web page can also be used for year-round online fundraising.
Individuals will be able to donate money to the nonprofit organizations of their choice on November 29th, 2016. All donations are tax deductible and irrevocable. (Donations will not be refunded). Donors will receive a receipt for their gift. The nonprofit will receive contact information for each donor, unless the donor elects to remain anonymous.
The Razoo Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization which permits donors to advise a re-granting of their donations to other IRS recognized qualifying 501(c)(3) organizations, will accept the gifts and will then re-grant the monies to the nonprofits selected by the donors.

Whole Kids Foundation



Committed to growing healthy kids, Whole Kids Foundation provides schools with salad bars and offers grants for school gardens/related programs, all while sharing cooking and nutrition education for school teachers/staff

Whole Planet Foundation



Seeking to alleviate global poverty, Whole Planet Foundation provides microcredit loans in communities that supply Whole Foods Market stores with products. This foundation also focuses on women in the developing world, where a small loan can help a very poor entrepreneur build a home-based business to create the opportunity for a better life for her family

Whole Cities Foundation
Improves community health in areas with limited access to affordable/nutritious food through collaborative partnerships, health education and broader access to nutritious food

Each of these foundations champions important causes in the local communities Whole Foods Market serves and tie closely back to the brand’s core values. Guests can easily donate by visiting the website for the foundation they’d like to support and clicking the “donate” button.

Girls have already found refuge and hope in our Tijuana, Mexico Sanctuary but we have space to serve more. All donations received during our Giving Tuesdaycampaign will go directly toward increase our resources to serve more young women escaping human trafficking.

SHANE’S INSPIRATION, the international nonprofit dedicated to creating inclusive playgrounds and programs that unite children of all abilities, is participating in #GivingTuesday, a day of giving that inspires people to take collective action to improve their communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities they support. Occurring this year on November 28, #GivingTuesday is a global movement that is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving to kick off the holiday giving season.

In celebration of its 20th Anniversary, Shane’s Inspiration has joined the #GivingTuesday movement with the goal of raising $20,000 to give the gift of play with children of all abilities ~ particularly for children with physical and developmental disabilities such as Autism, Down Syndrome, Muscular Dystrophy and Cerebral Palsy, among other conditions. Shane’s Inspiration is asking supporters to help celebrate 20 years of creating inclusive playgrounds and programs by donating just $20, then nominating five friends to “Give Together for Inclusive Play.”

In honor of Giving Tuesday, To Write Love on Her Arms (TWLOHA) will be going LIVE from their Facebook page on November 28, 2017, at 10AM – 2PM EST, and again at 8PM EST. During these times, the TWLOHA team will be sharing some of their favorite stories of the year, as well as the impact their audience has made, and their hopes and goals for 2018.

Viewers will have the chance to hear from TWLOHA founder Jamie Tworkowski, various members of the TWLOHA team, and a few special guests throughout the day. The goal is to raise $10,000 to invest into the organization’s mission. Additionally, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has announced that they will be offering up to $50,000 in matching funds per nonprofit that day on Facebook.

On this year’s #GivingTuesday Facebook LIVE-a-thon, TWLOHA founder Jamie Tworkowski says,

“We’re excited to give people a window into our work on #GivingTuesday. We don’t want to only ask people to give, we want them to meet our team and to learn more about the hope and help they’re investing in.”

To Write Love on Her Arms is a nonprofit dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. It exists to encourage, inform, inspire, and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery. Since its start in 2006, TWLOHA has donated over $1.8 million directly into treatment and recovery and answered over 200,000 messages from over 100 countries.
